Before attendance
A fee cannot be quoted from a vessel name alone. Length, hull material, location and whether a lift is arranged are what move it.
- Length
- Overall, in metres. The single biggest factor in time on board.
- Hull material
- GRP, aluminium, steel or timber. Each is examined differently.
- Location
- Which marina, yard or anchorage she lies in.
- Haul-out
- Whether a lift is arranged, and when. Underwater work needs her out.
- Deadline
- Any completion or renewal date the report has to meet.
